Mrs. Keisa B. Jackson

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Wells Station Elementary! I am especially excited about this school year. We are so fortunate to have this opportunity to work with your wonderful children. Our students bring experiences and backgrounds that enrich and challenge us daily. We are so very fortunate to have the finest and most dedicated faculty in Shelby County Schools. Add to this, our dedicated parents, and our possibilities do seem endless! Together we can accomplish great things.

This year has the potential to be one full of successes for our students in academics, behavior, and creativity.  Administrators, teachers, and school staff view you as the most important partner in our work to prepare students for college and beyond. Here are some items that will help to strengthen our partnership:

  • Exemplary student attendance is critical to high academic achievement. We are asking for your support in ensuring that your son/daughter is in school on time every day, providing that he/she is not ill. We also ask that you limit requests for early dismissal only for emergencies or where there are no options available.  Our school day is 8:15 am to 3:15 pm.

  • Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and Site Based Decision Making Council (SBDMC) elections will be held at our Title 1 Meeting. Elections are held for parent representation on these Governing Boards. PTO and SBDMC are important ways that parents can get involved in supporting our school achievement. Please contact the school if you need further information.

Our Family Engagement vision for Wells Station is that our school welcomes every family and every student, actively engaging them as partners in student learning and achievement. We recognize your role as the leaders in your child’s education, and look forward to you taking on leadership roles in our school.
