Job and Career Fair for Families
Memphis-Shelby County Schools will host a Job and Career Fair for families. Thursday, November 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McFarland Community Center (4955 Cottonwood Rd, Memphis, TN 38118).
The purpose of this fair is to provide our parents/guardians with opportunities to chart their own career paths with companies that are able to invest in their futures.
We know that during these challenging economic times, many of our local residents are job-seeking, interested in career-changes, and exploring opportunities to gain additional educational experience and career certifications.

Frequently Asked Questions
*Students will not be allowed to have cellphones at school.
*Masks will be worn daily unless a parent or guardian signs a No Mask Form.
*Any student who enters the building after 7:30am. must have a parent or guardian present to check-in.
*Parent or guardian is responsible for getting student to Vo. Tech if they come to school after 7:15am.
*Students must bring student devices/laptops and charger to school everyday.
*Students are not required to wear uniforms for the 2022-23 school year but must adhere to the school dress code policy:
-No croptops
-No leggings
-No holes/shreds in pants above the knee
-No drug paraphernalia or advertisement on clothing, backpacks, etc.
-Shorts must be knee length or longer

In efforts to increase awareness and support for the District's Literacy Commitment, the Family and Community Engagement Team has again partnered with the University of Memphis to provide an engagement opportunity for students and families. The Men's Basketball team has committed to literacy, and students and families are invited to join us for a basketball game Saturday, January 7 at 1p.m.where the Memphis Tigers take on the East Carolina Pirates at the FedEx Forum.
Families are asked to sign up for tickets online at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mscs-university-of-memphis-mens-basketball-tickets-493028961897. Tickets will include game admission for each family. Students will also receive a book to add to their home libraries.
