    Using High-Quality Photos

Just as important as having the right size is the quality of the photo. All photos on your website should be HIGH Quality. This means the photo needs to be a large size file. Small file photos can not be resized to be larger without causing major distortion to the photo. If you upload a photo and it appears blurry, DO NOT USE IT!

Here are few key reminders when adding a photo to your website:

    • Homepage images should be pre-sized for best view. Images on content pages can be sized differently.
    • High quality images – must be at least as large as the space; smaller images will be distorted.
    • PNG files will display best.
    • Add descriptive Alt tags for ADA compliance.
    • You can set a duration for the photos to appear.
    • Never use a photo that is smaller than the size of the space. Large photos can scale down, but small photos cannot scale up. They'll be stretched and blurry.
    • All images require Alt text for ADA accessibility , which is a short description of the image. This ensures the image description is read to people with visual impairments. Every time you add an image to your site, add a description in the "alt text" box.
