Greetings Shrine School Parents & Guardians:

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year!  I am Edith Clark, School Counselor for Shrine School. I am excited about beginning this new school year with you and your child! If your child is new to Shrine School or a returning student this year, I look forward to working with you and your child. I would like to take this opportunity to explain the Shrine school counseling program.  As a school counselor, I will provide services that will meet students’ overall needs, and be a point of contact for you for community resources.

My plan is to work closely with teachers in addressing individual concerns about students. This may include resources, referrals, or other things specific to your child and family. The goal is to maintain a healthy home and school life for your child that is focused on their development. I will work to provide services that are designed to reinforce life/developmental skills as well.  I will also plan a Parent Resource Fair. This meeting will encompass many facets around your child. Services will be presented that are of great benefit to you and your child. Please consider making plans now to attend. Reminders will be sent home.

My goal for the 2023-24 school year is to obtain more PARENT INVOLVEMENT in all areas of Shrine School. We need your support and really would like to have you available and present to assist during CBIs, classroom events, school events, etc. at least twice per semester. This is important and beneficial for your child, the entire classroom, classroom teacher, and other Shrine School staff. Please keep this in mind and consider this request.
