Ms. Tia Wells-Stuckey
I am honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at the historic Melrose High School, bringing over 25 years of experience in education. My career began in Tunica, Mississippi, where I taught English before joining Memphis-Shelby County Schools. From 1998 to 2013, I had the privilege of teaching high school English, a role that allowed me to nurture a love of learning in countless students. Following my time in the classroom, I transitioned into leadership roles as a Peer Assistant and Review (P.A.R.) coach, instructional facilitator, professional learning coach, and instructional coach. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Alcorn State University and my Master’s degree from Union University, both of which provided a strong foundation for my work as an educator and leader. Each of these experiences has prepared me for my current role, where I am dedicated to supporting teachers, students, and families in continuing the legacy of excellence at the one and only Melrose High School.
