Title I, Part A - The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency in challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. Title I is a program under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015. TITLE I PARENT/TEACHER/STUDENT/SCHOOL COMPACT

What is a School-Parent Compact?

"Compact" is another word for "contract" or "agreement." The Kate Bond Elementary School-Parent Compact is an agreement between parents, students and the school (teachers and staff).

The purpose of the School-Parent Compact is to foster student achievement. By signing the School- Parent Compact, Kate Bond Elementary teachers, staff, parents, and students agree to work together to share the responsibility of helping students meet or exceed state, district and school academic goals.

ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ACT (ESEA) PARENTS’ RIGHT-TO-KNOW

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) gives parents and guardians of children attending a school that receives Title I funding, the right to know the qualifications of your child’s teacher(s). Your child’s school must respond to such requests in a timely manner.

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT PLAN

Kate Bond’s administrator, faculty and staff endorse the concept that parental involvement is essential in improving the quality of education for all entrusted to our care. Our Family Engagement Plan at Kate Bond was developed jointly with our parents. Our goal is to prepare parents to be knowledgeable of the skills and information needed to help their children to be successful in school.
