Hello, my name is Keisha Tolbert. I am your child's 2nd grade teacher this school year. This is my 11th year teaching for Memphis Shelby County Schools.I was born and raised right here in Memphis, TN. I have two children, my son Caleb and my daughter Kera. I studied psychology at Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS and I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Memphis. I have been at Lucy Elementary for 10 years. I enjoy teaching and I believe that every child has the potential to learn, grow, and succeed. 

This year we will be using mathematics, reading, social studies, and science as tools to understand and interpret our world. I am honored to help each child progress in all areas of their development: social, academic and language. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. I teach using song and dance, which keep the students engaged, excited, and ready to learn. I love to challenge my students and encourage them to achieve their goals. Get ready to have a fun year with Ms. Tolbert!!!
