Subject: Important Updates: Open House, Senior Parent Meeting, and Upcoming Events

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some important updates and upcoming events that will be of interest to you.

First, I’d like to invite you to Overton High School’s Open House scheduled for Thursday, August 29th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. This will be a great opportunity to meet with teachers and learn more about what your student will be doing this year. Additionally, there will be a Senior Parent Meeting beginning at 6:30 PM in the auditorium. I encourage all senior parents to attend, as we’ll be discussing key information for the year ahead.

In class, we are currently working on a memoir unit that will help prepare students to write a compelling scholarship essay. This is an important step in their preparation for college applications and scholarship opportunities.

Speaking of college, Free College Application Month is coming up in September, and we will be dedicating time in class to work on college applications. It’s a great opportunity for students to submit their applications without the usual fees, so please encourage your students to take full advantage.

Additionally, there’s an upcoming Memphis Area College Night on September 16th at the Memphis Sports and Events Center. This is an excellent chance for students to meet with representatives from various colleges and gather important information. I have attached the flyer with more details about the event.

Lastly, I want to let you know that all grades are up to date as of yesterday. Please feel free to check your student’s progress on PowerSchool, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Asunto: Actualizaciones Importantes: Noche de Puertas Abiertas, Reunión de Padres de Seniors y Próximos Eventos

Estimados Padres/Tutores,

Espero que este mensaje los encuentre bien. Quería compartir algunas actualizaciones importantes y próximos eventos que pueden ser de su interés.

Primero, me gustaría invitarlos a la Noche de Puertas Abiertas de Overton High School, programada para el jueves, 29 de agosto, de 6:00 a 7:30 PM. Esta será una excelente oportunidad para reunirse con los maestros y conocer más sobre lo que su estudiante estará haciendo este año. Además, habrá una Reunión de Padres de Seniors que comenzará a las 6:30 PM en el auditorio. Animo a todos los padres de seniors a asistir, ya que discutiremos información clave para el año que se avecina.

Es una gran oportunidad para que los estudiantes envíen sus solicitudes sin los costos habituales, así que por favor, animen a sus estudiantes a aprovechar al máximo esta oportunidad.

Además, habrá una Noche de Universidades del Área de Memphis el 16 de septiembre en el Memphis Sports and Events Center.
